Toronto Defiant and Twisted Minds players have won Stage 1 of the Overwatch Champions Series (OWCS). While Toronto Defiant came out on top for the North American (NA) region, Twisted Minds represented the Europe, Middle East, and North Africa (EMEA) one. Toronto Defiant players win OWCS NA Stage 1

After duking it out against other teams throughout March, Toronto Defiant made it to the Group Stage's main event. There, they faced team LFO in the upper-bracket quarterfinals first, scoring 3-1 and advancing to the semifinals. Against Timeless, Toronto Defiant went 3-2 and continued to dominate the bracket.

Next, Toronto Defiant kicked M80 down to the elimination bracket, where the latter team fought against Timeless for a spot in the grand final. Timeless managed to climb their way back to the top for a revenge match against Toronto Defiant in the grand final, but it was to no avail as Toronto Defiant swept them 4-0 for the win.

Toronto Defiant boasts a strong team of players. They include Choi "Mer1t" Tae-min, Sugarfree, Ham "Someone" Jeong-wan, Rupal "Rupal" Zaman, and Diego "Vega" Moran. Meanwhile, analyst Danny "Danny" Mychakov, general manager Dawson Lovell, and head coach Cas "Casores" van Andel provided staff support.

Twisted Minds OWCS EMEA Stage 1 results

Over in the EMEA region, Twisted Minds swept Quick Esports 3-0 in the upper-bracket quarterfinals before defeating Ex Oblivione 3-1. However, the Twisted Minds went 1-3 against ENCE in the upper-bracket final.

This forced them to duke it out against Ex Oblivione once again. Both teams battled for the remaining spot in the grand final, with Twisted Minds earning the spot after going 3-1 against the opposing team again. When it came down to the grand final, Twisted Minds got their revenge against ENCE. The team went 4-1 against their rivals and won OWCS EMEA Stage 1.

After Twisted Minds' victory, the team acknowledged their revenge match against ENCE. The post on X thanked folks for encouraging the players as well.
